RA Reflection

Overall I think that the RA went pretty well.  It was not the easiest of papers but it definitely was not the hardest of papers.  It was kind of nice to not have to research and come up with your own arguments to make an argument, but to just look at someone else's writing and discus how their papers worked.  I would say that it was harder then the opinion editorial because with the opinion, we were able to put down our own opinion and we all have those so it was easy to voice them.  With the RA we had to really delve into the article and look at it closely and really see what was going on.

  1. I agree. Rhetorical Analysis get cracked up to be so difficult but in reality all the information you need is contained with in the article. They are more difficult than the casual Op Ed's, but nothing awful.

  2. Mmm good point. It was nice to not research/come up with an argument (too bad that will be our issues paper! haha). I definitely agree, the RA was more difficult than the OpEd...but we survived the whole process.

  3. I never though of the research aspect of this paper. I mean, it was all right there in the article, and that was really nice. I've never put a lot of effort into dissecting an article so it was an interesting feel.

  4. I thought the opinion editorial was easier too. I guess we will have to get used to harder papers from here on out!

  5. I agree, this was unlike any essay I've ever written so it was difficult but its a critiquing process that we've all though before. I'm proud to say i think it went well.
